The Minnesota Timberwolves have gotten much, much better over the last few seasons.
Obviously, Karl-Anthony Towns is a gigantic part of the team’s turnaround and D’Angelo Russell has also helped shape the squad.
The new addition of Rudy Gobert is only going to give them a better chance at true greatness.
But there is yet another player who has transformed into a star while in Minnesota: Anthony Edwards.
During his first two seasons with the Timberwolves, Edwards has averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

And he’s convinced he will only get better, saying, “After this year, I think I’ll be in the (best player) conversation.”
The competition will be tough but there is reason to believe that Edwards may be right.
Ant-Man In The Mix
Edwards’ points, rebounds, assists, field goal percentage, and three-point percentage all ticked up in his second season with the team.
This shows that he’s improving and focusing even better on the game.
But he still has room to grow – and the expectations are high.
The Timberwolves are getting to the level where a lot of people are noticing them.
Even those who don’t consider themselves fans of the team are anticipating some big things from the team in the season ahead, especially now that they have Gobert on their roster.
They have enough talent that their entrance to the playoffs should be all but guaranteed.
Anything short of that will greatly disappoint the fanbase.
Edwards knows a lot is riding on his shoulders and he’s ready for the challenge.
He believes in himself and that’s a huge part of him getting even better.
Edwards is saying he might be one of the best players in the league next season, it’s time to see if he will be right.
