The Boston Celtics are cruising on their way to the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
Joe Mazzulla’s team has the best record in the league, as they had even won 40 games before the All-Star break.
They’re fresh off making a huge statement by beating the Golden State Warriors by 52 points, and they’re perhaps the deepest team in the league.
However, Celtics legend Paul Pierce believes there’s one team that could give them problems in the playoffs.
The former NBA champion stated that the Indiana Pacers could give the Celtics some trouble in the Eastern Conference (via All The Smoke Productions).
The Celtics are rolling through the regular season.
Is there anyone in the East that can upset Boston’s title hopes?

Pierce stated that the Pacers run a high-octane offense that is going to push the pace on every single possession, and they also have some size, so they could be a difficult matchup for this Celtics team.
This young Pacers team is definitely ahead of schedule, and they can put up points on the scoreboard in the blink of an eye.
Then again, that style of play might not be as efficient come playoff time when opposing teams take something away from them.
They’re definitely on the right path, and Tyrese Haliburton looks like a generational talent at the point guard position.
But for now, it seems highly unlikely that they could take the Boston Celtics down in a seven-game series.
Still, this is the NBA, and we’ve seen crazier things happen in the past.
