Gameweek 26: This round of fixtures is slightly fractured as Liverpool were in action on Wednesday evening due to their participation in the League Cup final against Chelsea this coming Sunday.
Liverpool come from behind to defeat Luton
Liverpool had the opportunity to go four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table and did so with a 4-1 victory at home to Luton.
However, it certainly wasn’t as comfortable as it should have been for Jurgen Klopp’s men as they went behind 12 minutes in after a goal from Chiedozie Ogbene.
They rallied after the break and just before the hour mark scored two goals in two minutes from Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo respectively.
That sucked the confidence out of Luton, who conceded two further goals from Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott.
The Battle at the Bottom
The result left Luton still in the relegation zone, in 18th, but they remain on the same amount of points as Everton one position above.
