The Los Angeles Dodgers have not been afraid to spend money this offseason.
After another season ending in disappointment in 2023, the Dodgers have gone all-in this offseason.
On paper, they have one of the best rosters in recent memory.
Unfortunately, the games are not played on paper and the Dodgers have to earn it on the field.
Over a 162-game season, anything can happen.
That is why depth is paramount in baseball.
Having players that can contribute all over the roster bodes well for a team.
That is why the Dodgers’ recent signing makes sense.
According to Bob Nightengale, the Dodgers have signed Ryan Brasier to a two-year, $9 million deal.
The Dodgers strike again, bring back reliever Ryan Brasier on 2-year, $9 million deal. @JonHeyman and @Ken_Rosenthal on it.

This may not be a deal that moves the needle but Brasier can be a solid reliever in LA, which is where he finished the 2023 season.
Not every move the Dodgers make has to break the bank.
Some of the most successful teams find a way to go bargain hunting in free agency.
Each offseason there are a few players you can get for cheap that have a significant impact.
The Dodgers are hoping that is the case with Brasier.
It has become abundantly clear that anything short of a World Series title will be a disappointment for the Dodgers.
Some of the big signings the Dodgers made this offseason include Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Teoscar Hernandez.
Not to mention the Dodgers also traded for and signed Tyler Glasnow to a long-term deal.
LA has loaded up both their lineup and pitching rotation this winter.
It will be a lot of fun to see what they look like when the regular season begins.
