After starting the 2023 NFL season with a record of 1-5, the Denver Broncos have been one of the hottest teams in the league, with new head coach Sean Payton seemingly figuring out how to right the ship in the Mile High City.
The Broncos have won six of their last seven games and have gone from the laughingstock of the league to being a potential playoff team in the AFC while being only one game behind the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
With making the playoffs being a potential scenario for the Broncos, Payton is starting to look like a mad genius on the sideline once again in the NFL, while superstar quarterback Russell Wilson might not be washed up after all.
Payton has been so impressed with the progress that the Broncos have made up to this point in the 2023 NFL season that he is confident that this team is still improving moving forward, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR.

With four regular-season games left for the Broncos, Denver will be put to the test in the final stretch of the season with a spot in the NFL playoffs being a realistic scenario.
The Broncos will take on the Detroit Lions in Week 15, which will likely be their toughest test in the final four games.
Following this week’s matchup with the Lions, the Broncos will host the New England Patriots, followed by the second and final games against the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders.
