The Ottawa Senators called up a pair of players and moved Thomas Chabot to long-term injured reserve on Saturday morning ahead of their game against Pittsburgh.
Defencemen Tyler Kleven and Nikolas Matinpalo were recalled from the club’s AHL team in Belleville, while Chabot was moved to LTIR to make room.

Kleven, 21, has two assists in four games so far in his first season with the AHL club, while the 25-year-old Matinpalo has a goal in the same time.
The Senators are currently down three regular defenceman: Chabot (fractured hand) and Erik Brannstrom (concussion) were both lost in Thursday’s game against the Islanders, while Artem Zub (upper body injury) has been out since Oct. 18.
