The Baltimore Ravens came into the 2023 NFL season as a team that could contend for the distinction of having the best offense in the league, with the team seemingly stacked on that side of the football with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson leading the way.
Unfortunately, the Ravens have dealt with numerous injuries on both sides of the football and haven’t really been able to see the true potential of their team until they went head-to-head against the Detroit Lions in Week 7.
The Lions headed into this game as arguably one of the best all-around teams in the NFC, but that didn’t seem to be the case on Sunday, with the Ravens wiping the floor with them from start to finish.
Detroit’s potent offense was only able to score six points against Baltimore, while the Ravens were scoring at will on their way to finishing with 38 points.
One of the main reasons for the team’s success against the Lions was the play of Jackson, who had one of his best performances in recent memory and reminded many of his MVP form, via NFL on CBS.

Jackson racked up nearly 400 all-purpose yards against the Lions, which is no easy feat, with Detroit having a formidable defense.
Along with the yards, Jackson threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another, which was just too much for the Lions to handle, as they had no answer for the one-time NFL MVP.
With this win over the Lions, the Ravens improved to 5-2 on the season and remain in first place in the AFC North division.
