Reports have emerged that Jack Wighton may be reconsidering his representative retirement as the star prepares to face the judiciary after a biting allegation.
The centre was put on report in the Raiders elimination final against the Knights after Tyson Gamble made a complaint to referee Ashley Klein.
Wighton’s retirement was made official before State of Origin this year, but with the Kangaroos’ tri-nations series ahead, there’s rumours he could backflip on the decision, according to Nine reporter Michael Chammas.

”There’s talk tonight that Jack Wighton is reconsidering his representative football retirement,” he said on Nine’s 100% Footy.
If Wighton was to make the decision, it could mean part of a possible suspension would be served if coach Mal Meninga decided he would select the Rabbitohs-bound 30-year-old.
Chammas added that situation would suit his next club perfectly.

“If South Sydney have their way they would love for Jack Wighton to come out of retirement,” he said.
Chaos as Gamble makes biting accusation
“Because that will mean that the Test matches at the end of the year will count towards his suspension but you can see right through that, you seen see right through whatever is happening in the background to get Jack Wighton eligible to play for the Kangaroos.
“It would be a farce.”
Wide World of Sports contacted Wighton’s management who declined to comment on the report.
