Marvel Fans, we have good news for you. The much-awaited Marvel Rivals, an Overwatch-style hero shooter set in the Marvel universe, will be coming to Android and iOS devices.
NetEase’s Mobile Expertise
Recent revelations shed light on this exciting development, confirming that NetEase Games, having a track record of delivering high-quality mobile gaming experiences, has been chosen to bring Marvel Rivals to the mobile platform. This aligns perfectly with the developer’s history, as every title in their portfolio has been made from scratch for mobile devices.
Early Mobile Access
Marvel Rivals will offer thrilling multiplayer battles featuring various Marvel characters, from iconic Iron Man and Spider-Man to Scarlet Witch and Thor; players can step into the shoes of their favourite heroes or villains.
The mobile version of Marvel Rivals is expected to launch either before or alongside its PC version. Capitalizing on NetEase’s mobile-first approach to game development, it will bring the adrenaline-pumping action of Marvel Rivals to millions of mobile screens around the world.
Expanding Reach with Consoles
A console version is expected to be released, but it would probably be a year after the global release of the PC and the mobile version of Marvel Rivals.
Exciting Game Modes
Marvel Rivals will feature various exciting game modes, including the adrenaline-fueled Escort mode, where you must navigate a convoy to a designated location and King of the Hill mode, where you challenge players to gain and maintain control over strategic areas. Furthermore, the game will allow you to destroy the environment, which will play an important role in gameplay, allowing you to use each character’s unique abilities to create havoc and reshape the battlefield.
Release Timeline
No release date announcement has been made yet. Marvel Rivals is currently in the pre-alpha stage of development. There will be multiple beta tests, and if everything goes as planned, we will see the global release. But we don’t expect the game to be released soon. However, we will have more info soon from this year’s NetEase Connect 2024.
