The Los Angeles Lakers just didn’t have an answer for Naz Reid on Sunday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star scored 31 points and 11 rebounds in the 127-117 win over the Lakers, leading his team in points and amazing the fans.
He was also wowing his teammates too.
Following the game, Karl-Anthony Towns retweeted a post about Reid’s big night and added “6MOTY” with a trophy emoji, suggesting that Reid should win Sixth Man of the Year.

Sunday’s game was Reid’s first with 30 points and 10 rebounds, another reason to celebrate.
The 24-year-old big man has been having a great season, averaging 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while mostly coming off the bench.
Some analysts have said that Reid is Minnesota’s secret weapon, a terrific player who gets hot game after game and gives his team a huge help regularly.
He is a major reason why the team is at the top of the Western Conference.
The Timberwolves are known for their big three of Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Anthony Edwards, but supporting stars like Reid are also true keys to success.
He will have to keep playing very well in the days ahead as the Timberwolves attempt to convert their terrific regular season into a remarkable postseason.
Reid hasn’t had a lot of luck in the playoffs.
He missed out on them entirely last year due to an injury and only scored 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds during Minnesota’s five games against the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2022 postseason.
That being said, every player on the Timberwolves has been doing better this season.
Reid is hoping to redeem himself in the postseason and continue to help his team in some huge ways.
