The winter storm that postponed the Bills-Steelers NFL playoff game to Monday is having a domino effect on the NHL schedule.
Hours after the NFL announced that the wild-card game that was to be played on Sunday in Buffalo was being pushed until 4:30 p.m. ET Monday, the NHL adjusted the start times of two games affecting teams from those cities.
The Pittsburgh Penguins-Seattle Kraken game has been moved up five hours and will start at 1 p.m. ET instead, while the Buffalo Sabres-San Jose Sharks game will be bumped up by an hour and will start at noon ET.
“Both changes are to accommodate the schedule change of the Pittsburgh Steelers-Buffalo Bills NFL game,” the NHL said in a statement.
