Cameron Green has opened up on his rocky year as he looks towards next week’s first Test against Pakistan.
The young all-rounder is hoping to earn a Test recall after being axed for the fifth Test of the Ashes.
“When you put on the colours for Australia you don’t mind exactly where you play,” Green said patriotically in commentary.
“I’ll keep working hard. Whatever the selectors decide to do, I’ll be completely fine with. There’s plenty of good cricketers around Australia. You’ve just got to take opportunity wherever you get it.”
Green also spoke about Australia’s World Cup victory over India.
“Obviously started off not amazingly, the leadership around it was awesome, it all happened pretty quickly in the end,” Green said.
“You don’t have long to celebrate before Test cricket. It’s been a big couple of years. Not much time off … but that’s what you want to be doing.
“I’m enjoying my cricket at the moment.”
