The Los Angeles Clippers shook up the NBA by trading for James Harden and P.J. Tucker.
They now have one of the most stacked starting lineups in the game, and while it might take some time before we see them at their best, it’s obviously an exciting time to be a Clippers fan.
When asked about the new additions, Paul George told Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints that he was excited about having another great leader, scorer, and passer like Harden on the team.
“Great additions. James is a superstar, proven that year after year. Another playmaker. Another scorer, leader, really happy to have him here. PJ, tough, another guy I feel we need especially losing RoCo, Nico, Marcus. We’re going to need that toughness.”

He stated that he was looking forward to playing with him, also praising Tucker’s toughness.
Even so, George lamented the fact that they had to give up some veteran leaders like Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, and Marcus Morris.
The Clippers are doubling down and going all-in with their current core.
They’re banking all their hopes on this team’s ability to coexist and get the job done, as all four of their main guys could be free agents next season.
Also, it’s not like they have a lot of draft capital to start from scratch and hit the drawing board if their stars end up leaving.
Harden wanted to be a Clipper, and the Clippers wanted him, and the hope is that he’s going to stay there for the remainder of his career.
But then again, we’ve seen superteams dominate on paper, and then crumble under pressure when it matters the most.
Still, we wouldn’t want to put our money against them with this new stacked roster they have.
