A number of clubs are jostling for a shot at the West Coast Eagles’ No.1 pick in this year’s draft for a shot at adding Victorian young gun Harley Reid to their lists.
However, Reid has made it clear that he’s more than happy to take his talents West if drafted by the Eagles.
Reid responded to a report from The Age’s Sam McClure saying the Eagles will not select him, saying he was “rolled” by the story.
“To all the West Coast people listening, I don’t know how many times I’ve had to say it or how much clearer I can be, but I’m happy to go to the Eagles and I’m super grateful to be in the position I am,” he told SEN WA.
“Obviously everything over there seems like a great opportunity and a great experience with what Perth has to offer.
“He (McClure) obviously doesn’t really like me, I don’t think.”
