Pangai Junior wants a rematch with Frank Amato after an enthralling six-round slugfest.
Leading into the match, few expected Amato to survive the fight let alone go the distance.
The pair were left leaning up against the ropes by the end of the contest, each completely out of gas.
Speaking post-match, Pangai Junior said he want a rematch and wants to one day take on Jackson Murray.
“I don’t have an amatuer career, so what? I’m gonna prove the doubters wrong,” he said on Stan’s coverage.
“I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna get back in the gym on Sunday, tomorrow. While everyone’s partying, I’m gonna train.
“I’ve got that Tongan chin. It’s granite. Nothing can put me down. I’m a heavyweight, but I can take them punches.
“I’m not gonna go ducking and dodging like Jackson Murray,” he concluded.
“I’ve got a chin baby. Jackson Murray, I’m going to build my f—— way up and take you on b—-.”
With that, Pangai Junior walked off the set.
Moment earlier, Pangai Junior hailed Amato’s endurance and earmarked another fight in the future.
“Man, he was a tough opponent,” said the 26-year-old.
“I want another eight weeks and then I want the rematch. I want to be fitter. I’m gonna train hard.
“He wanted to go six rounds. It was tough. Sometimes you can’t get the knock-out. I still got the win. Like I said, I want the rematch.”
