The Golden State Warriors managed to complete the No. 1 task on their list for the offseason, which was keeping Draymond Green locked in for the future.
Green opted out of the final year of his contract, and while most people thought it was just a technicality and he would be back in the Bay area, others speculated about this potentially being the end of his tenure in San Francisco.
Add Jordan Poole’s presence and the Warriors’ tough salary-cap situation, and it actually made some sense, not to mention the fact that some reports stated that the team was having second thoughts about giving him a long-term deal.
With that in mind, several analysts pointed at the Los Angeles Lakers as a potential destination for him, as he’s represented by Rich Paul and is obviously very close to LeBron James.

And while that didn’t happen in the end, that didn’t stop the three from getting together to party and celebrate their success on and off the court in the off-season.
Notably, James and Green have grown to be quite close over the past couple of years, and they’ve been spotted together multiple times in the summer already.
Some Warriors fans have openly called Green out for all the things he’s said about LeBron in his podcast, but Green continues to be unmoved by the criticism.
At the end of the day, it’s all good if they’re friends, as long as they can shake that off when they battle each other on the court.
