The Knights big win over the Bulldogs looks to have come a at a cost – Jackson Hastings was spotted wearing a moon boot at the end of the match and is facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines.
He was injured in what Billy Slater described as a “textbook” hip-drop tackle.
Post game, coach Adam O’Brien said Knights medical officials suspected syndesmosis.
“Yeah it’s not looking good – he’s in there now with the docs and the physios in a boot … fingers crossed on that one,” he said.
Hastings will undergo scans on Monday.
There was also concern for Phoenix Crossland who was also spotted with ice on his arm. Nine’s Danika Mason reported it was a flare-up of an existing injury the Knights were managing.
