For some reason, Apple has decided to move the iPhone’s end-call button to the right of its original position in iOS 17. While it’s only in beta, it’s likely that this change will remain with the software’s final release (though not certain by any means). We’ve covered all the iOS 17 features if you want to check them out – they’re a lot lovelier than this change.
As noted by dozens of other outlets (looks like CNBC was the first), this change of position could cause a little issue for long-term Apple users. The end-call button has been in the exact same place for years now.
The iPhone’s end-call button moves to make space for the new contact posters, which show off the caller’s own personal card that they can design. It moves all the buttons down and shifts the hang-up button to line up with all the other options. It’s not really all that interesting, though some users may find it a shock when iOS 17 fully launches in September.
Alongside iOS 17, there’s also the iPhone 15 release date, something that one prominent Apple insider has suggested is set for September 22, 2023.
